Although I am interested in a wide range of subjects my main passions are the people and places of my native Leicestershire and also abstract images. I use photography as a way of exploring my surroundings and how they make me feel rather than only recording what they look like. I am inspired by the ordinary as well as the spectacular, particularly subjects that most people would never notice. I like to make photographs that ask questions and experiment with different ways of using the camera to do it. I try to produce images that contain illusions and emotion as well as facts and details and hope my images give a voice to that which is easily passed by.
