Ernst Haas once said, “I am not interested in shooting new things. I am interested to see things new”. A sentiment echoed by Marcel Proust, the French novelist, who said “The journey of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having fresh eyes”
Which sums up how I like to work really. Although I am interested in a wide range of subjects my main passions are the people and places of my native Leicestershire, I am also drawn towards abstract and experimental imagery. I use photography as a way of exploring my surroundings and how they make me feel rather than only recording what they look like.
